Must hold or be able to obtain North Carolina Professional Educator's Certificate in the area of 00721 - Health Occupations: Allied Health prior to employment. 

Individual must hold a degree in one of the following areas and the appropriate industry credential (license) in the area: physical therapy, medical technology clinical laboratory, dietetics/nutrition, nuclear medicine, physician assistant, physician, athletic training, health educaiton, respiratory therapy, histology, occupational therapy, dentist, dental hygiene, cardiovascular technology, emergency medical care, radiology, or paramedic. Two (2) years of work experience in the field of study is required.

Applicants whith a health education degree and related work experience may use a successful score on the ETS Praxis Exam #5551 (Health Education Specialist) in lieu of an industry credential.
